That way we are able to invest more in the performance and quality of our gear and still offer you a better price than comparable brands that are sold through retailers. In some cases that will mean our price is roughly 30-50% lower than a comparable product and, in other cases, it results in higher performance and still at a similar or lower price. Because of our Direct-2-You pricing model, our prices are generally 30-50% less than what a comparable quality product would sell for in retail stores. No, we believe it is a much more versatile design to create a layering system for the hardshell, insulation, and other layers. Insulated ski/snowboard jackets can get too hot in warmer (spring) temperatures, whereas our Duke, Xena, and Pups hardshells can be worn as an insulated jacket (separate SHRED DOG insulator zips into the hardshell) or as a waterproof/breathable shell over other lighter layers on warmer days. You will find that SHRED DOG gear is more waterproof than almost every other comparable product on the market. Most brands use fabrics with a 10k or lower waterproofness rating, whereas we use 15k. It's been relatively helpful that other brands provide a seam in the hem that can be ripped and the sleeve or pant leg to extend 1.5 to 2 inches to accommodate growth. But, what about hand-me-downs to a younger sibling when that seam can't be replaced?
We found a better way with what we call our Adjust-a-Fit™ system. With Adjust-a-Fit, an industry first, you can lengthen AND shorten the sleeves and pant legs for a growing child, hand-me-downs, or simply a more custom fit.
All SHRED DOG jackets and pants with the Adjust-a-Fit system ship with the sleeves and pant legs fully extended so out of the package will be 1.5 inches longer than similar sizes from other brands.
Because a child's age does not always equate to a particular size, the best way to ensure the correct fit is to use our detailed Size Guides (corresponding Size Guide located on every product page) and measure before placing your order.
For most families, one size up from the child's age is typical (e.g. a 3 year old may wear our size 4, an 8 or 9 year old may wear our size 10).
Finally, it also depends on the fit desired. Our gear is generally tailored for a more athletic fit. For a more relaxed fit and more room to grow into it, we recommend sizing up.
No, not at this time. We only sell SHRED DOG products directly to you through
our website, eliminating the markup associated with selling through traditional retailers that would roughly double the price of all of our products. Please refer to our Size Guides to get the right fit before ordering and we do offer a no-hassle Returns/Exchanges policy should anything not be to your complete satisfaction.

USPS First Class Packages will take 3 business

you can upgrade to USPS Priority Mail (2 business days) or USPS Priority Mail
Express (1 business day) or one of our UPS options. International shipping times via DHL will vary.
Currently we ship to addresses in North America (US and Canada), Europe, South America, and Japan.
Regarding international orders, we understand that shipping costs are high (we do not have a warehouse outside of the US at this time) but, depending on the size of the order, our no retail markup pricing may still result in a high-performance purchase that costs less than an equivalent alternative even with shipping.
Also, please note that for customers outside of the US, we do not charge GST, HST, or PST (Canada) or any VAT or other country-specific taxes at the time of the transaction. Any taxes required are the responsibility of the customer at this time.
By default, we do not offer free shipping. Most brands either embed the shipping costs in the price of their products, charge for free shipping packages like Amazon Prime, or simply do promotions for free shipping (one-time offer, free on orders above a certain transaction amount, etc).
