I purchased this jacket for my 4 year old. This is the first year we have bought Shred Dog. We have had some pretty cold negative temps, living in Northern Maine, and lots of snow. We are outdoors daily on the homestead. The pros: He has never complained about being cold. He has never gotten wet. The jacket is very well made, and is still lightweight. VERY effective Velcro! I was able to adjust the sleeves to shorten, and will be able to lengthen them when he grows. Fits true to size. The hood is adjustable in the back, so it can fit over his hat. The Cons Because his hands are small, typical for a toddler, I would normally put his gloves on then his coat, so the gloves will stay on and be secure under the sleeve This shell has a compression sleeve fabric under the shell which does not allow his hand to fit through the sleeve with his glove. It would be an awesome feature otherwise, to keep the snow out and keep air from traveling up the sleeve. This also makes it difficult to get his arms in and out of the shell. Impossible almost, when the thermal jacket is zipped together with it. So, I don't zip them together, because it has become such a hassle. Overall it's a great shell, and I would recommend it.

Beautiful quality. Everything you’d expect ! Only issue my kid has is getting her arms through the sleeves. There appears to be a snow guard lining that she gets tangled in so I can’t send her to school with it (kindergarten) because she can’t always do it on her own. Hood is perfect for her riding helmet! Will buy again. Great price and quality

Awesome. My son has spina bifida so he ends up crawling a lot while playing in the snow. This coat is long enough to not ride up while he is on his hands and knees, and the hood is large, but acts more as a visor and doesn’t get in the way of seeing. I love how the inner cuff is tight around his wrists, so I don’t have to worry about the snow getting on his skin. This coat has a great design, even for just playing in the snow!
