WHY WE MADE IT

We go out no matter the weather and we believe in bringing our kids with us to share the experience. Winter storm days on the slopes have become some of our favorite days... when we have the right gear that protects us from the elements . If we expect our kids to come with us, and to enjoy the experience as well, it only makes sense that their gear has to be as good as ours. That is why we made the Elevated Hardshell with top of the line waterproofing, breathability, full seam taping, underarm vents and all of the premium features you would expect in a top of the line adult ski / snowboard jacket. Why did we make it an uninsulated shell? Because we use a versatile skin-to-shell layering system for ourselves. So why shouldn’t our kids be able to change out their layers to suit the conditions of a given adventure too? For spring skiing, rock the shell over a baselayer for wind and slush protection. In the cold of winter layer or zip-in the Element Insulator (sold separately) for that added warmth. Our mission is to build products that allow you and your family to blend seamlessly into any environment and enhance your outdoor experiences. As the old saying goes, “there is no bad weather, just bad gear.” We’ll see you out there.

Our direct-to-consumer business model means we sell our products directly to you with no retail markup like other brands. Cutting out that middleman markup reduces our prices by about 40% on average. That is what allows us to use these higher quality materials, include more features, and sell it directly to you for a fair price. waterproof & breathable

With a 20k waterproof rating, the Elevated Hardshell is a snow shell that is more waterproof than most kids’ rain jackets. Many other brands claim “fully waterproof” but are really not (or not for very long). Most kids’ gear has a waterproof rating of 10k (or usually less) so we encourage you to research the details.

Every single seam is taped. No short cuts here. Many brands only "critically seam tape" to save money.

The Elevated Hardshell is un-insulated to provide maximum layering versatility. The Element Insulator (sold separately) can be layered underneath or zipped in to the hardshell for additional warmth.

2-WAY SLEEVE LENGTH ADJUSTMENT

Rather than sleeves that only extend by ripping a seam and sacrifice waterproofness, our Adjust-A-Fit System allows sleeves to be shortened for a custom fit today, lengthened as kids grow, and then re-shortened for a hand-me-down later.

Best kid ski gear

I bought spyder, north face, Burton, HH, Patagonia and other brand for my older son over the years. They all lack of some functional features compared with the adult gears we have. Shred dog is by far the best ski gear for kids who spent time on snow. Many brands claim their hood is helmet compatible but none of them will fit my son's helmet (kid size small and medium). Also, I love the small details from shred dog (i.e. under arm vent, length adjustment foor jacket/pants...)

Great fit

Perfect ski gear

After shopping around and returning multiple jackets for our first time skier, we discovered Shredd Dog. Our son loved that he could pick the colors for his shell, insulator, and bibs. Each piece fits well and the sizing is very accurate. We also love the grow-with-me option for the pants to give him multiple seasons!
