Great top!!

This is a fantastic company with great gear that really addresses what kids need. Thank you that. My son is a creature of habit and when he finds something he likes he stays with it. I have two baselayer tops, one in orange and one in green, two different sizes. He is between a size 8-10 but he is 11 years old and is thin. I have one in a M and one in a L and the M fits perfectly, meaning snuggly with a thin baselayer underneath it. The L is too big for him, so we are keeping it for next year when he is 12 because I love the color. He LOVES the snug fitting M and I may need to get another as well if he doesn't grow out of it and into the L. He loves that it has a husky as the logo, and I love the colors - I can see my kid on the slopes with these awesome oranges and greens you use.

Best gear for our son

Our son, age 12, puts a hurt on his snowboarding gear. After riding / falling during many practices and competitions his gear is holding up to the abuse well. It fits well and looks great!

Just But Everything!

We are officially a Shred Dog Family! I initially bought a shell and insulator for my 5yo son. After receiving it, I knew the quality was legit and ordered him a base layer top and bottom as well as the fleece and pant/bib. Shortly after receiving those items, I purchased a men's shell and insulator for myself. Highly impressed! Last week I realized my 3yo daughter could use a better winter jacket than what she inherited from her brother. I ended up getting her the shell and insulator, and base layer top. I would have bought the fleece and pants as well, but they were out at the time. My wife needed something more snow-friendly as she will be skiing for the first time this year but also spends a lot of time outdoors with the kids. She's petite, but I was a little hesitant going with "kids" sizes as they don't offer women's sizes yet. I measured according to the sizing chart, and ordered the base layer top and bottom, fleece, insulator, and shell, it all fit perfectly. Sleeves were slightly long on the shell, nothing crazy, but we took it back two "notches" and all is perfect now. That is one thing worth mentioning for sure, the ability to "size up" and use their system to let the kids grow into the full size. I'm guessing the kids will easily get 3 seasons out of theirs. I've used obermeyer's system before, and it was ok, but it's a one-time fit. You can't go back meaning if you have a younger child, they'll be stuck with that one size when they get it. The Shred Dog System allows more flexibility to take out and let in as needed. Lastly, not a complaint, just a recommendation. This might not be the case for everyone, but it seems that the insulators are sized a little smaller than the shell. For myself and my daughter, I ended up getting the insulator one size bigger than the shell. The hype is real, this stuff is extremely well made and a lot of thought went into the design/materials. You can go spend more for "brand name" gear, but I'm telling you from experience (I've been skiing for 30+years and worked for a high-end ski shop a few winters in college), you're legit paying for a name. If that's important, go do that. If you want the best gear for your money that is as good if not better than the bigger names, don't hesitate. It's impressive how much this company seems to have grown in it's short life, so I won't be surprised to start seeing more and more of their product on the slopes. Already noticing it now that I know.
