why we made it

Most kids baselayers are either polyester which wicks moisture but provides zero warmth (and also absorbs body oils) or merino wool, which is smoother than other wools but is still itchy for kids. We wanted a better, more technical, baselayer top to be the foundation for cold weather activities but also the kind of next-to-skin layer that kids will wear all the time.

Retains Heat, Not Odors

Unlike polyester, nylon fibers repel body oil and prevent odor. And blended with Nilit Heat performance yarns, infused with coffee charcoal, our blend retains body heat and is naturally deodorizing.

Seamless Comfort

Seamless construction means the singular body panel is made on a drum with no side seams that would create chafing. Silky smooth all the way around the body for active and itch-sensitive kids.

Sweat-free Sensation

Our nylon blend is moisture-wicking providing a high-tech, cozy, sweat-free sensation in warmer weather and under heavy exertion from older kids. The perfect next-to-skin layer in all conditions.

Hideaway Thumbholes

Thumbholes prevent sleeves from riding up and ensures the entire wrist area has coverage from the cold. When not in use, the overlapping fabric of the thumbhole closes back up.

Mesh 1/4-Zip Neck Gusset

Open up the 1/4 zip and get cooling airflow through the mesh while still keeping snow out. And our custom Shred Camo print on the mesh adds a cool, fun, pop of style.

This base layer rocks!

Our daughter loves her new 1/4 zip base layer. It’s perfect as a year-round layer. It’s great as a layer for skiing. She also wears it when she mountain bikes. We live in Utah and it’s nice to put in a backpack and pull out as the afternoon temperature drops. Love the color too!!

Just received

I just received it today. Haven’t had my daughter wear it yet, but the quality seems superb. I love the fact that there’s a protective shield inside once you unzip it so the chest is not exposed. First impression, high-quality product.

Absolutely love it. Haven’t worn it in cold cold conditions but it’s the perfect running top for early morning runs.
