New Home in Boulder, Colorado

New Home in Boulder, Colorado

At this early stage of launching SHRED DOG, we are most excited about (and we assume you are most interested in reading about) our product development progress, testing and refining prototypes, and finalizing plans to bring our first line to you later this fall. But we do have another development that we would like to share… for a couple of key reasons, we have decided to relocate SHRED DOG headquarters from San Francisco to Boulder, Colorado!

The number one reason for this move and why it is important for our customers is that, while we love the San Francisco Bay Area and state of California, overall the short- and long-term cost structure of operating the company out of Colorado SHRED DOG in Coloradowill be lower. This will allow us to invest more in better materials and higher performance products while also keeping our wholesale-to-consumer prices as low as possible for families like yours.

The second reason is that Colorado, in general, and specifically the Boulder area is a hotbed, a mecca, or whatever you want to call it for the outdoor industry. As we look ahead to further expanding our team, we will always strive to hire the best and brightest talent so that a small and efficient team can, again, continue to develop and deliver high performance outdoor gear at a great price for you. And we believe Colorado is the best place to build that team.

While Squaw Valley and the Lake Tahoe area will always be part of our heritage and we will continue to enjoy many personal and professional outdoor adventures there, we also look forward to new SHRED DOG product inspiration, year-round gear testing, interacting with the #shreddogpack and our customers, and more… in Colorado and around the world.
